ABOUT
A versatile and expressive performer, NYC based soprano Olivia Capozzi is passionate about connecting with diverse audiences and storytelling through song.
A keen lover of both opera and art song, Olivia is excited about the creation and performance of new works in addition to diving deeper into the celebrated canon. She has joined Source Song Festival (Minneapolis, MN) for their 9th, 10th, and 11th seasons as one of eight singer and pianist duos from around North America, premiering new art songs by composers-in-residence and celebrating the magic of collaboration.
Olivia’s Fall 2024 season includes scenes from Die Zauberflöte (Pamina) at Manhattan School of Music, and a lecture-recital of arias from the 19th century French Grand Opera tradition. She was most recently heard as Noémie in MSM’s concert staging of Cendrillon, soprano soloist in Ned Rorem’s Evidence of Things Not Seen, and as Milica in Ana Sokoloviç's a cappella opera Svadba.
Olivia is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music’s prestigious Pre-College program, and received her Bachelor of Music from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She recently completed her Master of Music at Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Ruth Golden.
